Care & Support
Stephen Ministry exists to equip, send and support lay caregivers as they share Christ’s healing love to those in need. We strive to help transform both the caregiver and the care-receiver as they grow into a disciple of Jesus Christ upward, inward, and outward. Our mission is to fulfill Paul’s words in Galatians 6:2, “Bear one another’s burdens and in this way you will fulfill the law of Christ”.
For over twenty years, Christ Church has served as a Stephen Ministry congregation. Our Stephen Leaders are a team of dedicated volunteers who equip and empower lay caregivers, called Stephen Ministers. Following fifty hours of in-depth training, our Stephen Ministers are partnered with an individual who is experiencing life’s challenges and difficulties, in order to provide them with high-quality, confidential, Christ-centered, and one-on-one care.

You Can Play an Important Role in Our Stephen Ministry . . .
Love One Another as I Have Loved You . . .
In John 15:12, Jesus says, “This is my commandment, that you love one another as I have loved you.” Loving and caring for one another is not just the pastor’s job—it’s something Jesus calls us all to do! Stephen Ministry is a ministry in which people with special gifts for caring ministry can put those gifts to use in an organized way, bringing Jesus’ love and care to those who most need it.
If you know someone who is going through a difficult time, Pastor Michael about Stephen Ministry. Our Stephen Ministers are ready to provide focused, confidential, one-to-one Christian care—to help that person experience the healing power of Christ’s love.
