Worship & Music
“Next to the word of God, the noble art of music is the greatest treasure in the world.” ― Martin Luther
Each year we offer a variety of special concerts for the whole community. In addition to our own church musicians presenting choral works, hymn festivals, and organ recitals, our music series regularly features local chamber ensembles, nationally recognized organists, and even internationally-known choral ensembles.
In recent years, we have welcomed the baroque chamber ensemble Apollo’s Fire, organist James Welch, the premier men’s chamber choir known as Chanticleer, and the Watoto Children’s Choir from Uganda. Annually, we also host a Madrigal Dinner to celebrate Epiphany and we welcome the Firestone High School Madrigal Singers from Akron, OH.
Some of the concerts are ticketed events, requiring advanced purchase, while some may offer tickets at the door and others are free. Several events in the series are more in the context of a worship service and are not ticketed.
Our sanctuary space is handicap accessible and there is ample parking available on the West and South sides of the buildings. The music series is sponsored by very generous donors from the community. If you would like to donate to the music series, please click here.
